Redwood Hideaway is a new-build, off-plan pool-villa project by Redwood Corporation Group, set in the Thep Krasattri area of Thalang in northern Phuket. As a developer sale that is still under construction, buyers can reserve early, pay by construction stage and, depending on build progress, choose their unit position and certain finishes before handover — an advantage you only get when purchasing off-plan rather than a completed resale.

Thalang is Phuket's largest inland villa zone — quiet, green and offering the most space-per-baht of any inhabited part of the island. It is not a beach or tourist-condo zone, and a car is essential, but the trade-off is generous plots and calm residential streets. UWC Thailand International School sits within Thep Krasattri tambon itself, making it the closest major campus for northern villa residents. British International School Phuket (BISP), an IB school, is about 15 minutes south in Koh Kaew, and HeadStart International School is roughly 20–25 minutes away. Phuket International Airport is about 15 minutes north, while Boat Avenue and Porto de Phuket in Cherng Talay (shops and dining) are 10–15 minutes west. The clear trade-off is the coast: the nearest beaches — Layan, Bang Tao and Nai Yang — are a 20–35 minute drive.

The homes

The project follows the zone's dominant product: private pool villas. As an off-plan purchase, payment is structured by construction stage, and there is scope to select your unit and certain finishes earlier in the build rather than buying a finished, fixed home.

Ownership

Foreigners cannot own land freehold in Thailand. Villa land here is typically held on a registered 30-year leasehold or through a Thai-majority company, while the building itself can be foreign-owned. Note Supreme Court ruling 4655/2566 (18 March 2025), which voided pre-signed 30+30+30 lease-renewal chains beyond the first term — plan financially for the first 30 years and treat any renewal as a future negotiation.

Who it suits

This is a home for families with children at BISP or UWC who want a short school run plus home-office space, and for long-stay LTR or Elite-visa residents seeking quiet and space without the west-coast price premium. Rental here works as a long-term let to resident families; short-term tourist letting is weak because the beach is far.
